Mr. Mangan is the director of choirs at Reed-Custer High School. He is from Schaumburg, IL, where he grew up involved in music through school and church choirs and productions from a young age. Mr. Mangan attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington and studied music education with a voice and choral concentration. While at IWU, he was a member of the highly-regarded Collegiate Choir, which performs throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He graduated summa cum laude in 2014. Prior to coming to RCHS, Mr. Mangan served as music and drama teacher for grades Kindergarten through 12 in the Woodland School District in Streator.
In addition to his duties at RCHS, Mr. Mangan serves as a faculty member at the Poco a Poco Summer Music Festival in Streator, Illinois. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.
